Donovan (Donovan Phillips Leitch), es un cantautor, poeta y guitarrista escocés nacido el 10 de mayo de 1946, en Maryhill, Glasgow. Emergió a mediados de los años sesenta como cantante folk, lo que le valió ser llamado el Bob Dylan británico, pero pronto se desató de esa etiqueta convirtiéndose en uno de los mayores representantes de la psicodelia de mediados y finales de los sesenta, con un estilo muy personal que fusionaba jazz, folk, rock, y música étnica.
Fue una gran influencia para otros artistas de la época, como The Incredible String Band, y en especial para los Beatles, con los que compartió experiencias en la India y con quienes tuvo una estrecha relación, especialmente con George Harrison y Paul McCartney. (sigue...)

De un graaan artista llamado Mark Oliver Everett, que además de músico es escritor (su libro es del mismo nombre de la canción), y su padre fue un físico muy connotado
