The Shangri-Las: "Remember Walkin' in the sand" y "Leader of the Pack"

Letra:

Seems like the other day (wahh) my baby went away.
He went away 'cross the (wahh) sea.
It's been two years or so (wahh) since I saw my baby go.
And then this letter came for (wahh) me.
It said that we were through (wahh), he found somebody new.
Oh, let me think, let me think, what can I (wahh) do?
Oh no, oh no, oh no no no no no.

(Remember) walkin' in the sand.
(Remember) walkin' hand in hand.
(Remember) the night was so exciting.
(Remember) his smile was so inviting.
(Remember) then he touched my cheek,
(Remember) with his fingertips.
Softly, softly we'd meet with our lips.

Whatever happened to the boy that I once knew?
The boy who said he'd be true.
Oh, what will happen to the life I gave to you?
What will I do with it now?

(Remember) walkin' in the sand.
(Remember) walkin' hand in hand.
(Remember) the night was so exciting.
(Remember) his smile was so inviting.
(Remember) then he touched my cheek,
(Remember) with his fingertips.
(Remember) softly...
(Remember)
(Remember)
(Remember)
[Fade.]
(Remember) walkin' in the sand.
(Remember) walkin' hand in hand.
(Remember) the night was so...

Letra:

[Girl #1:] "Is she really going out with him?"
[Girl #2:] "Well, there she is let's ask her."
[Girl #1:] "Betty, is that Jimmy's ring you're wearing?"
[Mary playing 'Betty':] "Uhm-hum."
[Girl #2:] "Gee, it must be great riding with him."
[Girl #1:] "Is he picking you up after school today?"
[Mary playing 'Betty':] "Mnh-mnn."
[Girls:] "By the way, where'd you meet him?"
[End Spoken.]

[Mary playing 'Betty':]
I met him at the candy store.
He turned around and smiled at me.
You get the picture? (Yes we see.)
That's when I fell for (the leader of the pack).

Vrrroooommm Vrrroooommm.

My folks were always putting him down (down, down).
They said he came from the wrong side of town.
(Whatcha mean when they said,)
(That he came from the wrong side of town?)
They told me he was bad, but I knew he was sad.
That's why I fell for (the leader of the pack).

Vrrroooommm Vrrroooommm.

One day my dad said, "Find someone new."
I had to tell my Jimmy we're through.
(Whatcha mean when he said,)
(That you had to go find somebody new?)
He stood there and asked me why but all I could do was cry.
"I'm sorry I hurt you." (The leader of the pack.)

Vrrroooommm Vrrroooommm.

He sort of smiled and kissed me good-bye.
The tears were beginnin' to show.
As he drove away on that rainy night,
I begged him to go slow.
But whether he heard, I'll never know.

(No, no, no, no, no, no, no.)

Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out!

[Sounds of crashing and breaking glass.]

I felt so helpless what could I do?
Remembering all the things we'd been through.
In school they all stoped and stare.
I can't hide the tears but I don't care.
I'll never forget him (the leader fo the pack).

Vrrroooommm Vrrroooommm.

(oo-oo-oo-oo.)

(Gone) the leader of the pack,
And now (gone, gone,) he's gone.
(Gone, gone, gone, gone.)
The leader of the pack, and now he's gone.

(Gone) the leader of the pack,
[Fade.]
And now (gone, gone,) he's gone.
(Gone, gone, gone, gone.)
The leader of the pack, and now he's gone.
